Obstacle Course Coaching provide a choice of online programs that are a cost effective way to get great results regardless of where you live or exercise at home or in a gym!

 

We've developed a range of innovative workouts that are structured to prepare you with what you'll experience out on the race course.  Obstacle Course Coaching will guide, inspire and motivate you to help you reach your peak performance.

From only $15 per week, our innovative workouts combine resistance training, body weight moves, dynamic stretching, cardio-focused drills and obstacle-specific techniques to prepare you for race day.

ABOUT

TIM

sLOANE

HEAD COACH

Your head coach is Tim Sloane, certified Personal Trainer and Spartan SGX Coach.

​Tim has completed too many obstacle races to count. He got his first taste for obstacle course races (OCR) with Warrior Dash 5km and Tough Mudder 21km and since then he has completed many more including Spartan 12hr Hurricane Heat and 24hr Enduro events. The journey for Tim has been fun, gradual and an opportunity  to learn plenty about what it takes, both mentally and physically, to successful accomplish an obstacle course race.

 

Since focusing on the emerging sport, Tim has consistently finished in the top 10 in the Spartan Australia elite category, top 3 in his age group, won the True Grit 24hr Enduro Australian Title (6 person team) and has been part of a select few to accomplish the gruelling Spartan 12hr Hurricane Heat.

 

As an athlete he understands the hurdles of obstacle course racing, but as a coach he knows what is required to overcome them. Results speak for themselves - Tim recently trained a team that successfully took first place in Spartan 21km. The real reward for Tim has been supporting once injured and demotivated clients, who now can complete obstacles they once thought they could never accomplish. 

Tim’s biggest reward is having clients go from immobile, weak and demotivated to pain-free, strong and confident. Tim invests his knowledge, experience and passion for training and obstacle course racing to ensure EVERY one of his clients reach their goal of completing an obstacle course race.

He has just been recognised as State Winner of the Fitness Australia #ActiveAchievers Award. A national award that recognises the outstanding work fitness instructors and trainers do everyday to help people live a more active, healthy lifestyle.

"I am 43 years old and have been pretty active all my life. I had a tipping point in 2016 after I barely finished a Spartan Super race (14km). I thought my pre-Spartan training was adequate (it clearly wasn’t). I had also had a couple of training injuries (old shoulder and knee sporting injuries) that flared up during the race preparation. The 2016 Spartan Super was a wake-up call and I made a decision to get some help. I have been training with Tim for a year and the results speak for themselves. Tim helped me build my obstacle course race (OCR) fitness and in 2017 I have comfortably completed Spartan 4 Hour Hurricane Heat, Blackmores Half Marathon and Tough Mudder (as well as a personal challenge of 100 consecutive 32KG kettle ball swings). Most importantly I have been injury free the whole time I've been training with Tim.
